Han Duck-soo's testimony regarding his request for reconsideration of martial law is becoming a key point of contention in Representative Lee Jae-myung's trial for aiding and abetting insurrection. Former Prime Minister Han stated in court that he expressed the opinion that "martial law should be carefully considered" and testified that he directly pointed out the problems with martial law to the President and requested its reconsideration.

Representative Lee Jae-myung stated on his social media that some of the content of Han's testimony is untrue. Lee's side criticized the testimony, pointing out that it was limited to a specific time and content.

A dispute between the opposition and ruling parties is also ongoing. The opposition criticized Lee's remarks as an attempt to unduly influence the trial, while the ruling party countered that "the President's remarks were merely expressing an opinion."

There are various opinions in legal circles about the impact of this case on the trial. Some officials analyze that Han's testimony could be an important variable, while others predict that it will not have a significant impact on the trial outcome.

Representative Lee's side announced that they will release an additional statement and plan to actively explain their position in court. The Constitutional Court is scheduled to conduct a hearing on related issues on November 20, 2025, and the political community is paying close attention to the direction of this case.
